Genesis 3:4, 5 "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:6 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." 1 John 2:16

Government is a necessary "evil." Evil not because of the office, but because of the man occupying it. The lie of the old man is that he can do that which is of his heart's desire, considering that it is "good" as long as everyone else has the same opportunity. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) The deceit lies within the dialectic 'logic' or 'reasoning' that if it is "good," "pleasing," and "desirous" to all of mankind than it is the way things "ought to" be, i.e. "good," "pleasing," and "desirous" being based upon "human nature," with the approaching and augmentation of pleasure and the avoiding and attenuating of pain being the measure of "good," "pleasing," and "desirous."

It is not that we should seek after pain and punish ourselves for pleasure but that we are more than flesh. We are a soul, made in the image of God, i.e. able to evaluate good from evil, right from wrong. When we evaluate from "human nature," all we have going for us is "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life," believing the lie that we will not be held accountable (die) for our thoughts and actions. The confusion comes (Satan creates and lives within the environment of confusion) when we equate life with the flesh (pleasure) and not the soul (doing what is right before God), i.e. making the soul subject to the flesh, of "human reasoning" only. The "living soul" died with the praxis of the lie while the flesh lives on to device us that we are "good," i.e. "good" in our own eyes, only to die in the end as well. It is in Christ only, i.e. the only begotten Son of God, that our soul can have life again, i.e. that we can have eternal life. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Since the garden, man is born into sin, lusting after the things of the world rather than the things of God, i.e. in disobedience to God, i.e. as a rebellious child before his Father, 'justifying' himself, i.e. 'justifying' his carnal "human nature" over and against God will, i.e. the Father's authority. "And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16:15

Rejecting any semblance of Godly restraint our government has now made "human nature" the standard of right and wrong, good and evil, the handle to its door being the praxis of lie. All who enter in must praxis the lie that we are "good" or have the potential of becoming "good" as we work for one another, 'liberating' the children from the Father's authority. Since the lie in the garden (that we will not be held accountable before God, i.e. as a child before his Father, for our thoughts and actions), dialectic 'reasoning,' i.e. self-social-environmental 'justification,' has been the praxis, Eve being the first environmentalist i.e. the first "tree hugger," i.e. seeking after the pleasure of nature over and against the will of God and Adam the first humanist, i.e. choosing the woman (pleasure) over and against the will of God. Both became socialists, blaming the environment, i.e. their parents, their upbringing, situations and circumstances for their "bad" (wicked) behavior, with Adam blaming the woman and Eve blaming the smiling serpent, both in essence blaming God, in the praxis 'justifying' their carnal nature over and against the Father's authority, worshiping the creation rather than the creator, serving a lie (that man is "good" or has the potential of becoming "good" as he works for the "goodness" of man) rather than the truth (that only God is good, i.e. that man is wicked, i.e. unrighteous in and of himself).

Without Godly restraint (the Father's authority), all that those in government can do is praxis the "old man," i.e. lie, evaluating life from man's wicked heart, determining from his own "human nature" what is "good" and what is "evil," turning "human nature" (the nature of the child, i.e. approach pleasure and avoid pain) into "good" and God's word (the Father's authority, i.e. establishing for the child what is right and what is wrong) into evil. "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." 2 Thessalonians 3:3-12

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." 2 Timothy 1-5

We are to follow Christ, i.e. walking in the Holy Spirit, doing the Father's will despite the presence of pain and the temptations of pleasure, enduring all things to the end: "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Corinthians 10:5 We are to put on the full armour of God and "stand," not running from pain or running after pleasure, for our government is not of the flesh, i.e. of man (temporal, i.e. temporary, i.e. passing away) but of the spirit, i.e. of God (eternal). "And they overcame him [the father of lies] by the blood of the Lamb [the Son's obedience to His Father's will, laying down his life to 'redeem' us from His Father's wrath upon us for our sins, being raised from the grave to 'reconcile' us to His Father], and by the word of their testimony [proclaiming to the world what Christ has and is doing through us, how he has and is continuing to change us into His image, obeying the Father, i.e. not as the world defines 'change,' negating the Father]; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelation 12:11
